New York Fashion Week may have only just begun, but it’s already off to a stylish start—all thanks to Rihanna.
On Friday, everyone's favorite bad gal kicked off the official show schedule in not one, but two sheer Alaïa looks. Celebrating the French fashion house's grand return to New York City, Rihanna attended the brand's spring-summer 2025 show hosted in the rotunda of the Guggenheim Museum located on the Upper East Side. Gliding into the venue at the very last-minute, the singer dazzled in a custom crystal mesh dress that slung off her shoulders and was covered in dangling pearls on the perimeter.
Rihanna wrapped the draped gown around her like a robe while revealing a thong corset in cream underneath. She accessorized with even more bling-including a chunky diamond cuff bracelet, pearl-and-diamond drop earrings, and a pair of lace-up heels that were also adorned with pearls.
Her chocolate brown hair was styled in loose, side-swept curls that fell over her shoulder, and she finished off her glam with a glossy plum lip and sparkly silver eyeshadow swiped across her lids.
Earlier in the evening, Rihanna presented her stylist Jahleel Weaver and Katie Grand with the Magazine of the Year Award at The Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards in another standout Alaïa outfit. For the occasion, she wore a blush-colored corset dress with sheer accents, which was paired with a pink ruffled coat and nude strappy sandals.
