Slip-on sandals may be a go-to summer shoe, but comfort is often an afterthought when shopping the low-to-the-ground style. Sure, they’re cute, but they usually offer no arch support or padding (plus, I’ve found that the straps often dig into my skin). Just because they’re closer to being barefoot doesn’t mean they’re inherently comfortable—but if you love the style, don’t fret.

They come in 26 colors, including white, black, blue, red, green, and purple, and sizes 5 to 12. The slides have a flexible design with a 1.75-inch platform, two adjustable buckle straps to ensure a secure fit, molded footbed, and non-slip outsole. The cloud-like slip-on shoes are also waterproof, so they’re great for taking to the pool or beach.

Aldo’s Elenaa Sandal effortlessly combines style and comfort. I had the chance to try these on IRL, and Aldo’s trademark padded insoles make them feel like walking on pillows. They come in six colors and materials and sizes ranging from 5 to 11. The slip-on design has an open square toe and non-slip rubber treads on the bottom of the shoe, plus a slight heel for arch support. The upper is made from soft leather that’s flexible, so the shoes move and bend while walking.
Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Slide Sandal

The Arizona Big-Buckle Slide Sandals from Birkenstock have been on my wishlist since last summer, and I plan on picking them up for my upcoming cruise. The elevated design of the big gold buckle and shiny leather finish makes them super versatile. They come in four colors: black, beige, green, and pink, and sizes range from 5 to 10.5. The slides have a cork-latex footbed that mimics the shape of your foot over time for a more custom fit. They also feature two adjustable straps so the shoes can fit securely around the foot.
