“Terre de Soleil” And “Les Fleurs de la Pluie” by Parfumeurs du Monde: Fragrance Journeys From Corsica to the Arabian Desert

by белый

The French label Parfumeurs du Monde unveils two new unisex fragrances inspired by the Corsican maquis and the delicate flowers of a Saudi Arabian desert.

Terre de Soleil – The essence of Corsica

Under the blazing sun, the maquis exudes the scent of dry grasses burnt by a merciless light that seems to freeze time.

Parfumeurs du Monde

The first new fragrance, “Terre de Soleil” (translated: Land of the Sun), captures the aromas of the Mediterranean flora of the Mediterranean island of Corsica.

Terre de Soleil – Parfumeurs du Monde

Created by perfumer Stéphanie Bakouche, the fragrance opens with an invigorating top note of sparkling yuzu, accompanied by spicy mugwort and lavender. The heart unfolds in creamy green nuances of fig tree, accompanied by delicate orris root, spicy oregano and the warm, honey-like note of immortelle. Finally, sweet hay nuances, earthy vetiver and balsamic labdanum merge into an earthy, warm finish.

Les Fleurs de la Pluie – The Awakening of the Desert Blossoms

SAUDl-ARABIA – In Sharaan, in a land where there never seemed to be water, a secret thunderstorm unleashes a torrential downpour. The drops beat on the sand and when the fury of the thunder has passed, the morning surprises with a web of fragile and ephemeral flowers that spread their fragrance in the shadows of the Nabataean ruins, silent witnesses to the miracle of life.

Thierry Bernard

For the second creation, “Les Fleurs de la Pluie” (translated: The Flowers of the Rain), the perfumer Thierry Bernard drew inspiration from delicate, fragile desert flowers that bloom after a rare rain shower.

Les Fleurs de la Pluie – Parfumeurs du Monde

It opens with a tangy, fresh top note of grapefruit, lemon citron buds and the green, slightly tart aroma of lemon petitgrain – an ode to the invigorating first drops of rain. In the center, a floral-spicy interplay of aromatic artemisia, the blossoms of Anthemis deserti, calming lavender and the sensual depth of Taif rose unfolds. The composition is rounded off by a warm, resinous base in which labdanum, myrrh and frankincense exude a gently smoky, spicy warmth.
