Inspired by the psychedelic rock era, the unisex fragrance “Prism Head” from Sarah Baker Perfumes promises a trip to a cabin in the woods – filled with damp earth, cannabis and patchouli.
Patchouli, damp earth and Hendrix – are you entering the hut? An electric guitar breaks the silence. Behind the vetiver, you find a hidden hut concealed by lemon trees. Damp earth, young cannabis and wild mushrooms surround it. Patchouli and incense waft through the open door. The turntable spins, but there’s no one there. Are you going in?

Prism Head – Sarah Baker Perfumes
The perfumer Miguel Matos created “Prism Head” as an olfactory interpretation of the era of psychedelic rock, which began in the 1960s in the USA and Great Britain. It was a time of new beginnings, experimental soundscapes and creative escapades – as the mouthpiece of a counterculture that yearned for freedom, peace and new perspectives.
The fragrance opens with a refreshing lemon accord that gradually fades into green and earthy facets. Cannabis combines with spicy, earthy and animalic notes of geosmin, costus and mushroom to capture the humid freshness of a forest floor. The composition is carried by a woody accord of patchouli, musk, incense and vetiver, which brings the fragrance to a warm and sensual close.

About Sarah Baker Perfumes
Sarah Baker is not a traditional perfumer, but an artist who sees fragrance as another means of expressing her creativity. Having grown up in San Francisco and Buffalo, she moved to London in 2001, where she completed her Master’s degree in art. However, she only discovered her passion for the world of fragrance in 2014 at the Institute for Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles. There she met creative minds such as Ashley Eden Kessler, Sarah McCartney, Andreas Wilhelm and Miguel Matos and made valuable contacts at fragrance fairs such as Pitti Fragranze and Esxence. Curiosity turned into passion – and finally her own label Sarah Baker Perfumes in 2015.
The London-based perfume house’s fragrances are as unconventional as its art. While the first creations, “Leopard” and “Greek Keys”, were inspired by fabric patterns, Sarah now draws on music, film, literature and fantasy. For her, fragrances are like characters in a soap opera – each with their own personality, quirks and story.
The new fragrance is available in a bottle size of 50 ml.
