From Mother's Day to bridal showers, we've got you covered.
I used to think of my gift for gifting as a seasonal sixth sense. But birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, anniversaries, and so on happen year-round. In fact, I have the most gift-related events, parties, and celebrations of the year. (I chalk this partially up to people actually wanting to leave their homes now that the hibernation season is behind us.)
Below is my guide to gifts for her, which is especially timely given the upcoming Mother's Day, whoever that may be in your life. The products fall into three categories; things I’ve already gifted, things I will be buying and gifting, and things I would like to be gifted myself.
The list is beauty product-heavy (I am, after all, a beauty editor) but there’s something for everyone; a Cosrx skincare set for the friend who swears snail mucin changed their life, an on-sale initial necklace for the sister who is a pro at layering jewelry, a portable photo printer for the bride-to-be’s bachelorette party, and a pricey laser hair removal device for the mother-figure who deserves the world.

Merit Beauty The Summer Set
Buy Now $124 $112
If you are really unsure about what to get someone, always go for Merit Beauty’s limited-edition gift sets. The current seasonal offering is The Summer Set, a covetable, sure to sell-out (they always do), four-piece kit perfect for easy glowing skin that’s perfect for long sunny days.
The kit includes the Sarah Jessica Parker-used Great Skin Instant Glow Serum, Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil (a personal favorite), Day Glow Highlighting Balm, and Bronze Balm Sheer Bronzer.
The makeup products are self-explanatory, but I’ll elaborate on the serum. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and caffeine—a combination that gives it its hydrating, brightening, soothing, and pore-reducing properties. A 72-year-old shopper said it makes them “look a bit younger.”
Augustinus Bader The Shampoo and Conditioner Duo
Buy on Augustinusbader.com $40
Augustinus Bader’s The Serum and The Cream were responsible for its initial rise to fame. But now its haircare products are leading the pack, thanks to compelling celebrity accounts, pleased reviewers, and a fanbase of beauty editors.
The Shampoo and Conditioner Duo is an indulgent and luxurious (yet only $40) treat. Both products are formulated with bamboo, maca root, and the brand’s proprietary TFC8 technology. TFC8 is the touted pièce de résistance; per the brand, this helps the formula adapt to each person’s individual hair needs.
Medicube Age-R Booster Pro 6-in-1 LED Therapy Device
Buy on Amazon $399
I thought I had tried every major skincare device on the market until a couple of months ago when my esthetician recommended I swap out the five devices I use for one very high-tech Korean pick; the Medicube Age-R Booster LED Device.
I’m thankful I listened to her—not only did I discover my new favorite skincare tool, but I also found a gift for the most difficult-to-shop-for skincare obsessives in my life. I’d need a couple of weeks to comprehensively explain the Medicube device’s benefits, so I’ll keep it brief.
LED, microcurrent, sonic vibration, electro muscle stimulation, and electric needle therapy are all wrapped into this one small device; you switch through the four modalities at the touch of a button. The most impressive detail, in my opinion, is that the device can be used with any serum; you don’t have to use separate conductive gels, which makes what you already have work better.
