They're exceedingly down to earth.
Taurus, ruled by romantic, beauty-loving Venus, could teach a master class on how to Netflix and chill. As a fixed earth sign for those born between April 20 and May 20, they are known for being hard-headed, as well as lovers of luxury, art, comfort food, and all things cozy and security-bolstering. With a long fuse and an innate appreciation for slowing down and being in the moment, they are also focused and organized.
It also bears noting that Taurus is the ruler of the Second House of Income, so while the pragmatic earth sign might be happiest on their couch, they prioritize their hustle with passion and creativity. In other words, there’s a lot to learn from the sign of the Bull, under which plenty of charismatic stars were born.
Here, we're celebrating some of our favorite Taurus celebrities who are pros at staying down-to-earth, embracing their sensuality, and making the most of home life.
Cher
Nothing short of an outright icon for decades, Cher—born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20—is a true artist who has made a lasting impression in just about every medium possible, from TV and film to music and even Halloween fashion inspo.
Often described as the Goddess of Pop, you can't get much more Venusian than Cher. Over the years, the Oscar- and Grammy-winning superstar has also lent her powerful voice and platform to progressive politics, philanthropy, and social activism, including LGBT rights and HIV/AIDS prevention.
Adele
From her classic, retro fashion sense to her heart-soaring, tear-jerking ballads, Adele (born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins on May 5) is a perfectly illustrated example of hard-working, grounded Taurus energy. The critically acclaimed, record-breaking songbird has been putting her nose to the grindstone to build her career since she was a kid. Quite the Venusian, Adele also supports fellow artists through the nonprofit MusiCares, which provides a safety net for musicians in need.
Gigi Hadid
A 21st-century supermodel if there ever was one, Gigi Hadid (born on April 23) has become a mainstay on the runway, in advertisements, and in gossip columns, as fans love hearing about her daughter Khai with former One Direction member and ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik. Hadid has also been vocal about social justice, launching a journal in 2020 for which a percentage of the sales were donated to four organizations: Black Lives Matter, the NAACP, the ACLU, and Campaign Zero, with a personal donation by the Next in Fashion co-host.
Jessica Alba
In the early aughts, Jessica Alba, born on April 28, might have been best known for her role on Fox’s Dark Angel. These days, however, the actress and entrepreneur is equally known as co-founder of The Honest Company, and co-parenting her three kids alongside Cash Warren.
Tina Fey
Tina Fey was born on May 18. The actress, comedian, writer, producer, and playwright became SNL‘s first female head writer before she was known for her appearances on the “Weekend Update” sketch, parodying Sarah Palin alongside Virgo BFF and frequent collaborator Amy Poehler, who played Hillary Clinton.
As the co-writer of 2004’s Mean Girls and creator and star of NBC’s 30 Rock, Fey has gifted us memorable lines we’ll be quoting for decades. Her prolific career is proof that when a Taurus commits to making her dreams a reality, the sky’s the limit.
Lana Condor
There’s no doubt that Lana Condor’s success as an actress comes from dedicated, hard work. Yet, the Taurian (born May 11) also values her downtime: “I’m really good at doing nothing.”
Her homebody ways and desire for comfort propelled her to move from Los Angeles to Seattle, where her family is based. The To All the Boys star is also passionate about education and even created an educational scholarship for girls from the Vietnamese town where she was born, according to Teen Vogue.
Channing Tatum
Despite the fact that Blink Twice star Channing Tatum is both no longer married to Jenna Dewan and no longer engaged to Zoë Kravitz, the actor has remained grounded, true to his Taurus roots. Born on April 26, Tatum has starred in films across all genres, from steamy (Magic Mike, anyone?), to action-packed (Deadpool & Wolverine), to straight-up iconic (recall the early aughts dance movie Step Up).
Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson, born on May 16, radiates a Taurian aura that is absolutely mesmerizing. With a decades-long career, the ambitious pop star and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer shows no signs of slowing down. She became a mother in 2017 with the birth of her son, Eissa Al Mana; meanwhile, her Together Again tour—which ran from April 2023 to March 2024—was the highest-grossing of her career, according to Billboard.
Aidy Bryant
Actress and comedian Aidy Bryant was born on May 7. The Emmy-winning Saturday Night Live cast member and Shrill star enjoys spending time at home, thanks to her Taurus ways. She previously discussed how her artistic impulses play out in her home design, telling Architectural Digest in 2020 that as a writer, she needs a “comfortable, creative space that feels like you can think.”
Penélope Cruz
Born on April 28, Spanish actress Penélope Cruz has been working since her teens. A beauty brand spokesperson and model for Mango, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and L’Oréal, Cruz is clearly in tune with her innate beauty-loving Venusian energy. Having volunteered in Uganda and India, the Parallel Mothers star and mom of two embodies her earth sign’s commitment to creating a more secure, humane world for everyone.
Gal Gadot
While she might be best known as Wonder Woman, Israeli actress Gal Gadot is also a producer and model. Born on April 30, Gadot was named by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. Despite her many successes, however, and in true Taurus fashion, she still feels drawn to family.
“I feel privileged and grateful and lucky, coming from a tiny place in the Middle East and getting to work with amazing people,” she told InStyle. “It takes a lot of hard work, which I’m happy to give. We’re very family-oriented, so being away from our families in Israel is a price you pay.”
Rosario Dawson
Ever since Rosario Dawson—actress, activist, and producer—hit the scene in 1995’s Kids, she’s had a successful career on screens both big and small. Born on May 9, the Ahsoka star epitomizes heartfelt, hardworking Taurus energy, especially when it comes to her daughter, Isabella, whom she adopted from foster care.
“It wasn’t even a question; it was clearly meant to be,” Rosario told Health in 2021. “I’m grateful for her development, our maturation, and our connection. To have a young person move in with you and to have to really consciously work through triggers and that kind of stuff is a really different thing than being pregnant and having your baby grow up in front of you—to be able to see how we’re getting closer and closer. We are a family, and it’s beautiful.”
Lizzo
Born on April 27, Lizzo—a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, rapper, and flutist—exudes sensual, Venus-informed Taurean energy. In true Taurus fashion, the majorly talented musician has gone on record flaunting her covetable home design, which features bean bags and peach-shaped neon signs.
Kelly Clarkson
The first-ever American Idol winner has come a long way since she rose to fame in 2002 on the singing competition show. These days, Kelly Clarkson, born on April 24, hosts a successful daytime talk show and is a brand ambassador for Wayfair with her own home line (file that under big Taurus goals). As if that weren’t enough, she does all that while also raising her two kids, daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander, with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
Typifying Taurean values, Clarkson told House Beautiful in 2020, “Home is where the heart is. As a working mom, I cherish my time at home with my family. I take great pride in the fact that we have created a home that is filled with love and warmth, and that is very much represented in the décor throughout the house.”
David Beckham
David Beckham may have risen to fame as one of the most celebrated Premiere League players of all time, but he’s equally famous as Victoria’s Beckham’s husband. Born on May 2, the soccer star celebrated the marriage of his son, Brooklyn, to Nicola Peltz in 2022. The following year, he released a documentary detailing his rise to fame that was simply titled Beckham.
“After watching the documentary, after everything was over and we watched it finally, that’s the one thing that we looked at each other and was like, ‘I don’t know how we got through the last 27 years, but we did, and we have an amazing family, we have amazing businesses, and we’re happy,'” he said on an episode of the SmartLess podcast.
Megan Fox
Resident Hollywood bombshell Megan Fox made a name for herself in the 2007 blockbuster Transformers and its 2009 sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Since then, the Taurus—who was born on May 16—welcomed three children with her then-husband Brian Austin Green, followed by an on-again, off-again relationship (and pregnancy) with Machine Gun Kelly. When it comes to the box office, she’s been hard at work even since her early aughts debut, most recently on the 2024 thriller Subservience.
