With “Sea Thru”, the Italian label Costume National unveils a new unisex creation, in which fresh, molecular and warm, woody notes combine to create a fougère fragrance.
In Sea Thru, natural and molecular notes merge to create a fougère that is both extraordinary and unexpected: as green as emerging leaves, as light as a weightless dance in the water, as crisp as ice, as fresh as a cold plunge that delivers a piercing kiss, as shadowy as the undergrowth and infinitely bright, evoking sunlight penetrating through crystalline fluctuations.

Sea Thru – Costume National
Inspired by the idea of transparency in all its facets – clarity, lightness and freshness – the fragrance journey of “Sea Thru” begins with a citrusy-fresh accord of bitter orange, grapefruit and lemon. This is followed by a salty-aromatic heart in which sweet neroli, fresh salt water and green cypress merge. The fragrance concludes with a warm, woody base of oakmoss, enveloped by the sweet, balsamic notes of Operanide® and Siam benzoin.
The fragrance was created by perfumer Céline Barel.
Costume National
Launched in 2001, the perfume line belongs to the Italian fashion house Costume National, which is known for its fusion of Japanese minimalism and Italian tailoring.
Each composition is made from natural ingredients, most of which come from the renowned LMR laboratory in Grasse. The characteristic notes include the floral freshness of roses, geraniums, hibiscus, lavender and orange blossom as well as accords of cardamom, patchouli, oud and amber, which lend the fragrances warmth and depth.
The flacon, modeled in plaster by designer Ennio Capasa, the brand’s founder, represents the core values of Costume National: style, beauty and art.
The new fragrance is available in flacon sizes of 50 and 100 ml.
