If getting ready to go out means slipping into a body-con dress or choosing a spangly top, Dua Lipa has another option for anyone looking for some inspiration: boxers. Everyone’s favorite vacationer and birthday girl (she officially celebrated on August 22, but the party doesn’t stop when you’re Dua Lipa) posted another signature photo dump showing even more celebration, all while wearing a pair of silky black shorts and a matching draped top.
In the shots, Lipa added a big, thick belt to the shorts 'fit. The bottoms featured a frilly, ruffled hem and elastic waist and she finished the look with a stack of necklaces and a wrist full of bracelets. She posed with her sister and friends and in keeping with her Instagram aesthetic, the photos were artfully blurred and included plenty of streaky lights and out-of-focus posing.
"Veraaaanoooo," she captioned the post, which didn't just show after-dark fun, but also the singer soaking up the sun at the pool and a carnation-embellished cover-up.
While she's known for her huge collection of bikinis, Lipa has just as many statement-making cover-ups, including the crochet dress she wore in today's IG post, which had pink carnations and delicate green leaves. She paired it with a moss-colored bikini top and baggy white shorts.
Lipa celebrated her birthday in Ibiza with a parade of bikinis, but she may have more reason to celebrate. According to The Guardian, after earning three Grammys and seven Brit Awards, Lipa applied for a “license to protect her name as a brand” for ice cream. The paperwork is with the Intellectual Property Office at the moment, so fans may soon be able to enjoy frozen desserts from their favorite pop star. The British newspaper notes that there aren’t any details or an official announcement from Lipa just yet, but added that her application spans “dairy ice-cream, non-dairy ice-cream, ice-cream cones, ice-cream desserts, ice-cream cakes, and ice-cream drinks, as well as milkshakes and yogurts.”
