In true mini-me form.

Prince George couldn’t be more like his dad, Prince William. Not only is he a spitting image of his father and bound to the same fate as heir to the throne, he looks to the patriarch for fashion inspiration. Royal fans have come to know and love how the father-son duo perfectly coordinate their outfits during outings—and apparently, George wouldn’t have it any other way. A new royal book suggests their matching ensembles are often at George’s request.

Royal expert Robert Jobson wrote about the pair's mini-me tendencies in a new book titled Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography. "George, who insists on dressing like his father when he accompanies him, is even beginning to copy William's mannerisms," Jobson explained. "If he ever appears awkward or overwhelmed, his dad is always close by to put a protective hand on his shoulder."

They even had the cutest identical reaction to a play during the 2024 UEFA European Championship finals between Spain and England earlier this month. They were both captured with their hands on their faces in true The Scream fashion.

Jobson added that William serves as an important role model and guide to his eldest son. "Often, he'll spend quality time with his elder son George, one-on-one, and he seems to relish displaying their close bond to the world."

It is important to William that he is a good father to all of his kids. "William has a more tactile parenting style than his father ever did, and wants his three children to look back at their childhood with a feeling of being wrapped in love," Jobson continued.

George recently turned 11 years old, which has come with more responsibility and public-facing duties. William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have expressed they wanted George to have a normal childhood, as William experienced a more “painful” upbringing being thrust into the public eye.

“Prince George’s public entrance into royal life had a gentle beginning. Kate and William planned it that way and will continue to do so,” royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Mirror.

Seward added that George is now making "the transition from childhood into adulthood," which means things will continue to change for him. In fact, next year, when he turns 12, he will no longer be allowed to fly in an airplane with his father to ensure their safety, per long-standing royal rules.
