Matière Première presents five new, highly concentrated unisex fragrances that reinterpret classic eaux de parfum with a special “guest ingredient”.
Each fragrance in the collection is based on a creative philosophy that combines three basic principles: a higher concentration, a stronger dosage of the main ingredient and the addition of a new ingredient that gives the composition an extra dimension. All creations are by Aurélien Guichard, the founder and perfumer of the French label.
For this collection of extraits de parfum, I wanted to achieve a balance between olfactory richness and modernity. Even more tangible textures, a profound quality, round and warm sensations.

Santal Austral – Spicy velvety sandalwood scent

Santal Austral (Extrait de Parfum) – Matière Première
For “Santal Austral (Extrait de Parfum)”, Nepalese black cardamom absolute was added as a new ingredient to give the sandalwood scent of the eau de parfum an invigorating note.
The composition unfolds a melange of velvety nuances of Australian sandalwood and the spicy intensity of black cardamom absolute, surrounded by creamy, powdery accents of almond milk and Florentine iris absolute. The warm sweetness of Venezuelan tonka bean absolute and Siam benzoin absolute round off the fragrance and lend it a sensual, balsamic depth.
Radical Rose – Powerful and vibrant rose fragrance
Guest ingredient: Croatian Immortelle Absolue
A genre-free, powerful and vibrant rose fragrance that contains the highest possible concentration of Centifolia Rose Absolu France, extracted from flowers organically grown by the House in the Grasse region.

Radical Rose (Extrait de Parfum) – Matière Première
The Extrait de Parfum “Radical Rose” emphasizes the more intense, darker facet of the rose note by refining the formula of the original Eau de Parfum with Croatian Immortelle Absolue.
The creation combines rich, sensual notes of May rose absolute with spicy accents of allspice, saffron and Indonesian patchouli absolute. Croatian immortelle absolute provides a warm depth, while Spanish labdanum absolute enhances the sensual base with its balsamic and resinous facets.

“Encens Suave (Extrait de Parfum)” intensifies the warmth and depth of the eau de parfum version by adding warm amber notes.
The fragrance unfolds spicy, smoky nuances of Somali incense, which combine with the balsamic facets of Siamese benzoin absolute and Spanish labdanum absolute. The creamy sweetness of Bourbon Vanilla Absolute and warm amber notes lend the fragrance a sensual softness, while Venezuelan coffee adds an invigorating and aromatic nuance.

A powerful and intense fragrance that highlights the beauty of its main natural ingredient, Saffron Essence Greece, considered to be the highest quality saffron in the world.

Crystal Saffron (Extrait de Parfum) – Matière Première
The idea behind “Crystal Saffron (Extrait de Parfum)” was to create an enveloping, bright saffron fragrance. To achieve this, the formula of the original eau de parfum was enriched with Somali myrrh.
In the composition, the spicy intensity of Greek saffron blends with the spicy, resinous and sweet nuances of Somali myrrh and frankincense, enveloped by the warm tones of Ambroxan and Habanolide®.
Falcon Leather -Intense leather fragrance
Guest ingredient: Bangladeshi oud
A strong and intense fragrance that is reminiscent of both the soft suede side and the smooth, full-grain side of leather.

Falcon Leather (Extrait de Parfum) – Matière Première
For the Extrait de Parfum “Falcon Leather”, Aurélien Guichard was inspired by the leather gloves of falcons. To enhance the warm, leathery facets of the eau de parfum, the fragrance was refined with Bangladeshi oud.
The composition combines the herbal, leathery character of Finnish birch tar with the deep, warm nuances of Bangladeshi oud, refined with spicy saffron. The creation is rounded off by the balsamic warmth of Siamese benzoin absolute and the resinous facets of Spanish labdanum absolute, which provide additional sensuality;
The new fragrances are available in bottle sizes of 100 ml.
