She just proved boho is back.
For the most part, I’ve retired my jeans for the summer; they’re just a little too thick and skin-hugging for this heat. But on the occasion I do find myself reaching for a pair, it’s always one with a relaxed fit and wide leg, giving me at least a little more room to breathe. And TBH, I kind of thought I had hit a wide-leg peak—my favorite jeans are ones you would probably say I’m drowning in—but Heidi Klum just proved I could go even bigger.
The model started her month in Paris, where she was seen wearing jeans that could be best described as cartoonishly big. They had a roomy fit throughout, hanging loose on her frame, but took things to another level at the leg, where they became so oversized that they actually seemed to flow in the wind. And while you might assume Klum would do the classic giant pants, tiny top styling, she instead paired the jeans with a just-as-huge and just-as-flowy floral tunic. We’ve said it before but I’ll say it again: Boho is back.
While the jeans were record-breaking in my eyes—I dare you to find me a pair wider—the piece of her outfit I most love are the clogs that just barely peeked out from beneath the tent-like leg. The shoes featured a wedged wooden heel, shiny black top, and metal hardware connecting the soft leather to the wood.

Klum’s clogs didn’t just add to the Boho feel of the look, but they gave her a little more height, something even a supermodel needs with pants that long and wide. And while any heel could do that, I love that she chose a clog because it’s incredibly wearable. The style offers height with a more laid-back look when compared to other heels, making it the perfect shoe for a pair of everyday jeans. Plus, the style is surprisingly comfortable.
I’ve slipped into platform clogs for years and found them more supportive than just about every other heel I own, especially when the style has a strap that secures around the back of the foot. The shoes are easy to walk in while still giving me height. What’s more, they look great year-round: In fall and winter, the rich leather and warm wooden heels complement thick sweaters and in spring and summer, they pair effortlessly with breezy dresses and, as Klum proved, billowing jeans.
Clogs are the shoes I reach for all year long and they just got the supermodel stamp of approval. Shop more heeled clogs inspired by Klum’s pair, below.
