Plus, an oversized blazer for good measure.
Regardless of the event, you can count on Julia Fox to make a statement. Sometimes, she is in the mood for controversy, like when she wore hair-extension stilettos. Other times, she leans into her quirkiness, such as with her halter LBD that literally choked her (yeah, she did it herself, yeah). Most of the time, she wears ensembles that are at least a little bit naked, and almost always unconventional. Most recently, she wore an outfit that was part sheer, part confusing, and all black.
Yesterday, the Down the Drain author made a head-turning appearance at the 19th Rome Film Festival at Auditorium Parco Della Musica for her new movie, The Trainer. For the occasion, she wore a see-through, high-neck, backless top over a sultry triangle bra that crossed over in the middle and featured shiny sequin studs. Her outfit was the gift that kept on giving: she paired the blouse with a patent leather midiskirt that featured a gauzy second skirt fastened at her waist that trailed behind her. An oversized blazer with satin lapels, opaque tights, pointed-toe sandals, a single silver ring, and a quilted trunk clutch completed her ensemble.
As for beauty, Fox introduced a bit of color to her look via powder-blue eyeshadow, rosy red blush, and a deep purple-tinted lip. The hair chameleon wore her platinum blonde locks in a sophisticated, voluminous updo.
Just hours before, the Uncut Gems star went in a completely different sartorial direction with her version of method dressing. She captivated on the carpet in a cobalt-blue Adidas track jacket that she wore mostly unzipped, baring her abs and plenty of side boob. She paired the jacket, which hails from Willy Chavarria’s Spring/Summer 2025 ‘América’ menswear collection for the sports brand, with a flowy shite maxiskirt with a daring thigh-high leg slit, a white skullcap, and a white-and-black clutch with a built-in fingerless glove.
