She's a true golden girl.
Heidi Klum went for the gold at the America's Got Talent quarterfinals—literally. The model attended the red carpet for the event decked out in a head-to-toe gold ensemble, with a matching minidress and trench coat combo.
Klum shut down the red carpet in a metallic gold mini that featured a structured corset bodice, a scooped neckline, and a ruffled skirt with gathered gold-and-red fabric at the hip.
The 51-year-old completed the look with a collection of chunky gold chains around her neck, strappy heels to match, and a coordinating, floor-grazing crinkled trench coat—with a red inner-lining to match the detail on the hip of her dress for an added flair.
Klum’s look serves as both a subtle take on theme dressing and a throwback to her earlier days on competition-based reality television. The all gold look might potentially be a nod to America’s Got Talent‘s famous golden buzzer, in which judges will have the chance to fast track their favorite contestants to the finals from the quarterfinals stage of the show. (Her fellow judge, Sofia Vergara, went for a similar concept, and wore an ensemble made out of shimmering champagne colored fabric.)
The outfit also ties back to season four of Project Runway, which Klum hosted from 2004 to 2017. Klum crowned Christian Siriano as the winner of the show, and the two have a maintained a friendship in the time since, as he designed her all gold look for the latest America's Got Talent episode.
