I shop year-round (it’s my job), but there’s a bit more sparkle in my eye when I shop for fall. It’s my favorite season of the year, and while I’m ready to go all in with the chunky sweaters and pumpkin-scented candles, it’s still above 80 degrees here in Maryland.

Fall blouses used to be my favorite thing to design. I love a full balloon-sleeve and an intricate bodice with lace trimmings similar to Free People’s Best of Me Lace Tie-Waist Shirt. It’s made from 100-percent cotton that’s lightweight, so it’s great on its own when it’s warm or under a cardigan once temperatures drop. The design features a button-front closure, band collar, adjustable ties at the waist, and a flared peplum. Sizes range from XS to XL and you can shop it in pink, white, and blue.

Two years ago, I swore off nail salons because my nails were left thin, splitting, and discolored. I now do my manis and pedis at home, and with that has come much trial and error. But one brand that got it right from the get-go was Londontown, with its line of Perfecting Nail Veil Polish. It comes in nine sheer shades that act as a concealer for your nail beds, giving an even appearance while also strengthening and moisturizing—no base or top coat is needed.

August always makes me think of going back to school despite being years removed, and my favorite tradition was picking up fresh sneakers to start the school year off on the right foot. My go-to brand was always New Balance, and though I’m not in school, I still might pick up a pair of these New Balance 1906R Sneakers ahead of the seasonal shift. They feature a neutral base with pops of pastel-colored details throughout. The bottoms offer great traction, while the insole provides arch support, shock absorption, and added cushion for maximum comfort with every step.
