When it comes to shopping for jeans, there are so many styles to choose from that it’s overwhelming—plain and simple. And in my case, it’s even harder to find a pair that fits my petite frame. But when I saw Cindy Crawford’s flare jeans, I knew I wanted—no, needed—something similar.
The supermodel’s optical illusion denim hugged her hips and thighs with its form-fitting silhouette, while the kicked-out bottoms made it seem like she had legs for days (not that she needs help in that department). But the classic cut is so flattering, Jennifer Lopez, Drew Barrymore, and fellow short girl Victoria Beckham are also fans of the look.

I have a soft spot for Spanx’s denim because it offers the best of both worlds: style and comfort. Not to mention, the Oprah-loved brand’s flare jeans aren’t just elongating with their kicked-out style, but they feature a compression-like fabric and cleverly placed seams that offer a butt-lifting and body-sculpting effect.

Similar to Crawford’s flare jeans, which features pops of darker denim mixed in, this J.Crew pair also offers some, well, flair. The classic style has pockets of deeper denim washes and a more textured, lived-in look for an effortless feel. One shopper at Nordstrom said they will “give you the illusion of the longest legs in town.” Another reviewer added that they’re the “most flattering” jeans they own. Plus, the corset-like seams and belted waist adds another element of style and sculpting that you won’t find in many jeans.
