The It Ends With Us actress and supermodel slayed with their attempt at method dressing, coordinating in Deadpool red and Wolverine yellow on the red carpet. Unsurprisingly, Lively paid homage to her husband’s character on Monday night with a Team Deadpool outfit: A sultry ruby-red satin catsuit that looked like it belonged in its own superhero movie.
The Gossip Girl alum and red carpet maven put a superhero spin on Britney Spears’s iconic “Oops!…I Did It Again” music video outfit with the jumpsuit's off-the-shoulder style and sweetheart neckline. The sexy piece also featured black lace detailing along the bodice, legs, and sleeves, and she looked ready for a night of fighting crime, thanks to the catsuit’s gloved sleeves and pantaboots. A pair of statement sparkly earrings, stacks of shiny bracelets, and a small black rhinestone-studded clutch capped off Lively’s Deadpool-inspired look. Never one to miss on the beauty front, the actress took her red carpet appearance to the next level with a sleek blonde ponytail, matching maroon eyeshadow, bronzed skin, and a nude matte lip.
Meanwhile, Hadid coordinated with her bestie by showing her support for Deadpool’s right hand man, Wolverine. She took her sartorial cues from the X-Men character by wearing a custom bright yellow leather bandana top from the Miu Miu SS24 RTW collection, which she styled with a matching low-rise skirt. A wide Y2K-esque belt and glimpse of black boxers gave the outfit the model’s signature It-girl flair. The Next in Fashion host paired the look with a matching Miu Miu yellow bag and black accents. Black pointy-toed heels and bangles added a contrast to Hadid’s otherwise gold hardware. The model, who styled her blonde bob in a structured rocker-inspired side part, added amber stone drop earrings, layers of gold necklaces, bangles from Alexis Bittar, and a gold anklet to her red carpet look. A simple smoky eye, matte honey lipstick, and Wolverine-inspired nails completed her method dressing appearance.
Following the star-studded premiere, Lively held hands with her bestie as they headed to a Deadpool & Wolverine after-party. The star swapped out her bodysuit for another off-the-shoulder number: A red-and-blue latex minidress that featured large floral embellishments on the neckline and the hem. Hadid also got the PVC memo, wearing a sheer yellow vinyl trench coat with a black bodysuit underneath and pointy-toed yellow heels .
