Charles Wong unveils the floral-green unisex fragrance “Aurora – L’Été à la Villa Ephrussi”, inspired by the magnificent Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on the Côte d’Azur.
Reminiscent of the golden age of the glamorous elite resort on the Côte d’Azur, the refined high-society lifestyle is on display in the luxurious villa during the summer.

The composition of “Aurora – L’Été à la Villa Ephrussi” opens with a sparkling citrus blend of bergamot and green grapefruit, accompanied by the juicy-fresh note of green mango peel and a hint of pink pepper. In the center, sweet fruity aromas of fig leaf and watermelon combine with the floral tones of water lily and Damask rose – an ode to the elegant garden atmosphere and the summer breeze of the Riviera. The fragrance is carried by a warm, velvety accord of cedarwood, vetiver, amber and sandalwood, refined by white musk and salty sea minerals.
The inspiration for the fragrance was Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, the former residence of Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, which Charles Wong visited in the summer of 2017. The property is located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and enchanted Wong with its elegant resort atmosphere, pastel-colored façade and French gardens overlooking the Côte d’Azur and the Mediterranean Sea.
The fragrance was developed in Grasse by the French perfumer Richard Asfour.

Born in Hong Kong, Charles Wong is passionate about fashion, European culture, music and the aesthetics of bygone eras. In 2018, he launched his first fragrance “Aurora”, which is inspired by French elegance and sophistication. The fragrance is named after his book published in 2016, in which Wong visually captured his impressions of France and the beauties he discovered there.
“Aurora – L’Été à la Villa Ephrussi” will be officially launched in the summer. The fragrance is available in a 50 ml bottle.
