Shoppers call it “life-changing” for “wrinkles and redness.”
Maya Rudolph is one of the funniest people alive—Bridesmaids?! Her tenure on Saturday Night Live?! Loot?! Talk about being locked in. Plus, she’s ageless as ever and always looks absolutely radiant—I would do [redacted] things for skin that flawless. Thankfully I don’t have to, and neither do you, because chic and luxurious skin care brand Monastery is (at least partially) to credit.
I was curious about Rudolph’s skin care routine and reached out to her facialist/aesthetician, Athena Hewett, who shared her insight with InStyle. Hewett is the founder of her own brand Monastery which hand-makes(!) all of its products in San Francisco. She says Rudolph’s go-to products are the Rose Cleansing Oil, Attar Floral Repair Concentrate, and Flora Botanical Cream Serum which I consider the star of the show.

Hewett praised the Flora Botanical Cream Serum for creating “glossy and radiant” skin through multi-weight hyaluronic acids that help the “wrinkle-reducing” formula penetrate “all the dermal layers.” As the founder of Monastery, Hewett obviously has good things to say about the products. But, it’s backed up by Maya Rudolph’s makeup artist Molly R. Stern. She tells InStyle that Flora Botanical Serum is “gorgeous under skin” and helps create an “undeniable glow.” The other benefits are anti-aging, firming, and brightening delivered through raspberry seed oil, sage, and rosehip.
Dozens of shoppers are over the moon about Flora Botanical Cream Serum, too. One called it “literally life-changing” for the way it “immediately soothes redness…and deeply moisturizes.” Another said it quickly “corrected age-related dryness…fine lines, and wrinkles.” One shopper said it didn’t irritate their sensitive skin—plus, it made their complexion “soft” yet “firm” and imparted the “radiant glow” Stern and Hewett mentioned. Lastly, a shopper said it improved their “dark spots” and the texture of their skin.
The Flora Botanical Cream Serum is admittedly expensive, but because of its unique serum-cream texture and ultra-hydrating properties, Hewett and shoppers say that it can be used in place of a serum and moisturizer. Lastly, several shoppers say that you only need a little bit to cover your entire face, so a bottle will last you a while.
Head to Monastery to shop the Maya Rudolph-used Flora Botanical Cream Serum. Consider her other go-to—the Rose Cleansing Oil and Attar Floral Repair Concentrate—as well.
