I can’t imagine wearing it now, but I’ll be living in it come June.
It was decidedly warm over the weekend in NYC; the sun was shining, people were out in short-sleeve shirts (myself included!), and the vibes were vibing. Spring is coming, and I simply cannot wait — other than the mood-boosting warmer weather and sunnier days, it means outfits don’t need to be concealed underneath heavy-duty coats. Plus, it’s the precursor to summer, which is — IMO — the best season.
While spring outfits are currently on my mind, Gisele Bündchen seems to have skipped an entire season and already stepped out in a full-out summer uniform that’s easy, breezy, and oh-so-chill. (I want what she has!) The supermodel was photographed walking her dog in sunny, warm Florida — which makes sense given what she was wearing — looking ultra-angelic (and comfy) in her two-piece outfit. The ‘fit doesn’t quite seem suitable for right now, especially if you’re in colder regions, but I will be wearing it nonstop come June.
Bündchen’s all-white look consisted of a lightweight batwing-sleeve tunic top that flowed in the wind. It was slightly sheer and appeared to be designed from that classic gauze fabric your beach coverup is probably made out of, too. She paired the outfit with similarly low-key white linen pants with subtle slits at the hem. They featured an elastic waist for optimum comfort, while the slits gave the bottoms some more flow. She finished off the look with flip-flops (yes, really!), and sunglasses.

The supermodel’s all-white look had me itching for summer and especially ready to pull out my billowy, white linen pants again. Right now, I’ve been living in thick sweatpants, and rightly so — it’s still cold, and whenever I go on my Central Park mental health walk, my legs freeze when I’m wearing anything other than heavy-duty sweats. But, lightweight linens are my go-to for warmer weather, and Bündchen reminded me it’s time to refresh my collection for the upcoming season since I’ve worn my other linens to death.
Not to mention, with any upcoming tropical vacations on the horizon, pants like hers are a no-brainer because they’re lightweight if you’re dealing with limited packing space, and versatile enough to wear for days at the beach and evening dinners on the boardwalk.
