Jelena von Olnhausen, founder of LEN Fragrance

Jelena von Olnhausen has always dreamed of creating fragrances that would last a lifetime, like personal love stories. After studying business administration and spending years as an editor of luxury magazines, she fulfilled her dream in 2018: together with Silvio Denz, the owner of Lalique, she founded LEN Fragrance. But Jelena wanted to create more than just luxurious fragrances with her brand – she wanted to interpret stories of love, passion, seduction and admiration olfactorily.

Each of the French label’s fragrance creations is accompanied by its own story, which is also reflected in the artistic design of the bottle and packaging. Thierry de Baschmakoff, a renowned designer from the perfume and design world, creates these with golden accents and pictograms in a mix of fountain pen drawings and comic style.

The brand has now successfully established itself in the world of luxury perfumes. The fragrances are available in exclusive retail outlets such as the Dubai Mall and Galeries Lafayette in the Burj Al Arab. The company’s luxurious flacons can also be found in Europe, for example at Oberpollinger in Munich and ZUM in Moscow. To further increase awareness, LEN Fragrance  is working with successful influencers such as Jeremy Fragrance and Charmante Parfumdiary.

The collections from LEN Fragrance

To date, the company has launched two collections: “Histoire Privée” and “Exclusif”. Both lines offer fragrances with a pure perfume oil content of between 23% and 30%, which gives them a long-lasting and intense presence.

1. The “Histoire Privée” collection 

The first collection, “Histoire Privée”, was launched in 2018 and consists of eight Extraits de Parfum created by renowned perfumers such as Michel Almairac, Mark Buxton and Mirella Pomina.

A secret agent I was introduced to in Paris at a dinner by the Eiffel Tower at the Jules Verne restaurant was a mysterious, seductive and attractive young woman. I could easily imagine that she had a gun in her evening bag.

Jeux Dangereux – LEN Fragrance

Inspired by the seductive aura of a secret agent, the feminine creation “Jeux Dangereux” begins with a sparkling opening of bergamot and grapefruit. Last Call to IBIZA – Nostradamus’ promise

The A380 took off from New York. Sitting next to me was this man who was expected at the European Poker Tour in Monte Carlo to take part in a 250,000 dollar final. He was very polite and intelligent, and his activity fascinated me.

Try To Follow Me – LEN Fragrance

The men’s fragrance “Try To Follow Me” captures the aura of a professional poker player from New York who found love on a flight to Monaco. The top note is a lively citrus opening of mandarin orange, complemented by the spicy heat of pepper and ginger and a green accord. This is followed by a woody, earthy heart of cedarwood and vetiver, which gives the fragrance structure. Finally, base notes of tonka bean, amber, moss and musk ensure a warm, sensual finish.

2. The “Exclusif” collection

The “Exclusif” collection, which was launched last year, comprises four Extraits de Parfum developed by a group of young, up-and-coming perfumers.

The fragrance line includes the limited-edition unisex fragrances “Darling Bogota” and “Amour Brut”, which have already been presented on Parfumo this year. “Darling Bogota” captures the fiery love story of a bank robber and a woman in Bogotá with a sweet and spicy composition. In contrast, “Amour Brut” tells the story of James Bond and Teresa di Vincenzo, who recognize each other on London Bridge thanks to a beguiling citrus scent and rekindle their love.

The unisex fragrances “Nasra” and “Blind for Love” are also part of the collection.
