It’s perfect for summer.
My skin is perpetually dry. Naturally, moreso in the winter—yet, as I type this, drinking cold brew al fresco in 90-degree heat, beads of sweat rolling down my spine, my face feels uncomfortably tight.
Over the years, I’ve compiled an arsenal of emollient, flake-fighting face creams. They’ve served me splendidly in the dead of winter; in the summer, however, they’re the skincare equivalent of wearing a (faux) leather jacket to the beach. Until recently, I’d assumed lightweight, oil-free moisturizers were inadequate for my needs. Products like the Eight Saints Daydreamer Soothing Moisturizer, however, have proved me wrong. I’ve yet to try the exact formula myself, but shoppers swear it hydrates—plus plumps and soothes tired skin—while remaining feather-light and non-occlusive on the skin.

The Eight Saints Daydreamer Soothing Moisturizer is a weightless daily face cream that plumps dry skin and rejuvenates aging complexions. The oil-free, artificial fragrance-free formula bestows long-lasting, non-greasy hydration to all skin types, including oily, sensitive, and dry.
Aloe leaf juice, the first (and most prominent) ingredient, soothes sensitive skin and delivers a healthy glow without the weighty, occlusive feel of an oil. Skincare’s preeminent plumping molecule, hyaluronic acid, smooths the appearance of fine lines on contact and delivers a dewy, bouncy, youthful-looking radiance in mere moments.
From an anti-aging standpoint, rosehip oil does much of the heavy lifting. The ingredient is rich in provitamin A, a precursor to vitamin A. (Incidentally, Kate Middleton has turned to the ingredient in the past.) Finally, the moisturizer features vitamin E—an antioxidant that protects against skin-aging environmental factors.
One shopper, who noticed a marked improvement in skin hydration, reported that their fine lines are “disappearing” since using the moisturizer. Another reviewer, who applauded the formula’s fast-absorbing, non-greasy feel, said it leaves their skin “plumped for hours after application.” Yet another shopper echoed a similar sentiment, noting their “skin is plump, smooth, and deeply moisturized all day long.” Furthermore, they reported a “significant improvement” in texture: “Fine lines appear diminished,” they said, and their skin appears “brighter and more radiant.” A final fan, who receives “tons of compliments” on their skin, said the moisturizer “visibly reversed” dullness, and gave them a “plump, firm, [and] smooth” complexion.
For a lightweight moisturizer that’s heavy on hydration, shop the soothing, skin-plumping cream I’m adding to my cart this summer, the Daydreamer Soothing Moisturizer from Eight Saints. Shop similar formulas at Amazon, below.
