Whatever you're picturing, you're wrong.

Seated front row at the Gaurav Gupta show during couture fashion week, Megan Thee Stallion sported upside-down nails. No, that doesn’t mean a reverse French manicure or a half-moon design. We’re talking gel extensions applied with a 180° rotation. The part of an extension that’s meant to hug the smile line sat snug against the tip of her nails while the length of the stiletto extension ran towards her knuckles.

The trippy style was created by Megan’s go-to nail artist Tahvya Krok. For polish, Megan appears to be wearing a cognac brown shade topped with a silver cat-eye magnetic polish. “The cat-eye effect is created by using a special magnetic polish or gel polish that contains magnetic particles,” nail artist Tara Hayes previously shared with InStyle. “The position and angle of the magnet placed over the wet polish determine the pattern outcome.”

The high-contrast nail look is the perfect match for Meg's Gaurav Gupta ensemble, which featured a chocolatey brown corset topped with an intricately strung chainmail-esque dress with a matching headdress.

The high-impact nail look was the perfect accessory for this over-the-top look. So much so, that Megan ditched the nail look the very next day, opting for a more traditional (but still stunning) nail look that featured a soft gray stiletto nail outlined in a perfectly imperfect silver chrome. In both looks, Megan proves that a thematic manicure will take any outfit to the next level.
