Ok so I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve been a Little Monster since high school, many eons ago, and that I’ve long found style inspiration from Lady Gaga’s outlandish looks. Whether she’s dressed in head-to-toe meat or straight-off-the-runway haute couture, she always knows how to make a stylish statement, but it’s when she’s dressed down that she really inspires. Because even though she may be wearing something simple, she always adds a bit of flare that takes things from ordinary to out of this world.
Take, for instance, her recent outing in the city of lights ahead of her sure-to-be iconic performance at the summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. Mother Monster took to the streets in Paris in what may have seemed like a relatively normal outfit: black sunnies, a navy blazer, black shell top, and mid-wash boyfriend jeans rolled up to the ankle. However, her sky-high black patent leather boots added a daring and subversive twist to her tame look.
