Kylie Jenner is officially 27 going on 30. On Saturday, August 10, the youngest KarJenner sister rang in her milestone birthday in a sartorial classic: A slinky black LBD that showed off her curves with huge cutouts on the sides and back. Jenner took to social media to share some behind-the-scenes polaroids from the low-key celebration along with a reference to a viral The Kardashians joke.
In a trio of photos shared to her Instagram photo, the cosmetics maven could be seen closing her eyes and seemingly making a wish while holding a birthday cake decorated with fresh fruit and lit candles. Jenner put a sexy twist on a classic little black minidress which featured a halter neckline and large cutouts on the side and back. The Khy designer, who wore her dark hair in voluminous waves tucked behind her ears, could be seen celebrating with her mom Kris Jenner in the third photo.
“27 (basically 30) 🥹,” she cheekily captioned the post. “Filled with love and so grateful. Thank you God.” Her premature goodbye to her 20s referenced a conversation she had with big sister Kendall, 28, whom she memorably said was “basically 30” in 2023.
During a viral Season 4 episode of The Kardashians, Kylie told Kendall, “These are our years, Kendall. I’m 25. You’re like 30…” Laughing, Kendall interrupted, saying, “Kylie, that is so rude. I’m 27.” Kylie deadpanned, “You’re basically 30. When I turn 27, you can call me 30, too”
Kendall kept to that promise, as she shared an Instagram story with the caption “guess who’s basically 30 now?” The throwback photo showed the sisters as kids making faces at the camera in matching black dresses.
Jenner's BFFs Hailey Bieber, Stassi Karanikolaou, Yris Palmer, and Lauren Perez also shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the festivities, including a shot of some cookies decorated to look like Jenner’s face. It’s unknown whether Jenner’s rumored beau Timothée Chalamet was in attendance, but it looked like the reality star was feeling 30 (or rather, 27), flirty, and thriving as she celebrated with her inner circle.
