Kim Kardashian just declared red the color of fall by showing off a fiery new hairdo via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday. In the shots, the reality TV star, mom, and entrepreneur debut long, vibrant, crimson-colored hair with dark roots. Although the fall-ready dye job is presumably brought to you by a wig—evidenced by her usual brunette hair in the following post—the temporary ‘do is sure to spark a renewed renaissance for the color, knowing the influence that comes with Kim’s seal of approval.
Last summer, a slew of celebs went red, including Chrissy Teigen, Emily Ratajkowski, and Megan Fox. Of course, Dua Lipa’s may be the most memorable transformation, and she’s one of the only A-listers who has kept up with the maroon color. Even Kim’s younger sister, Khloé, gave the popular hair color a try this year by swapping her coppery hair for strawberry blonde just a few months ago.
Kardashian tagged her skincare line, SKKN, perhaps hinting at an upcoming shoot. In addition to the wig, she wore a fluttery black top and opted for a glowing, bronze complexion, rosy cheeks, and fringed lashes.
Kardashian is no stranger to switching up her hair cut and color. Just before she went back to her natural dark color, she had been rocking a platinum blonde locks—something she's very accustomed to thanks to big events like the Met Gala and her commitment to a look, whether it's Marilyn Monroe's gown or custom Margiela couture.
