Mature fans say it doesn’t settle into wrinkles.
I have a soft spot for the Grammy Awards. Not only is it essentially a “Now That’s What I Call Music!” concert, but the unstuffy event makes for some great fashion and beauty moments. Last night’s event was no exception, with Chappell Roan in vintage Jean Paul Gaultier couture and her signature drag beat, Lady Gaga embracing gothic romance, and Julia Fox somehow making yellow rubber gloves sexy. But not every stand-out look required such theatrics; in fact, it’s Jennifer Lopez’s soft glow that I want to recreate ASAP.
The star’s skirt—which was sparkly, sheer, and sculptural—was the moment, so she kept everything else really simple. She opted for a black cropped turtleneck, soft blow out, nude lip, subtle smokey eye, and perfect skin—and according to her makeup artist Mary Phillips, the latter was achieved using Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation.

The Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, available in 42 shades, is a light-to-medium-weight foundation with a glowy finish. It’s designed to make skin look hydrated and imperfection-free, not like it’s covered in a layer of foundation. While many foundations aim for this effect, InStyle’s beauty editor claims that Chanel was actually able to achieve it. “[It] is lightweight but completely concealing and imperfection-neutralizing,” she wrote.
The foundation’s magic is in its formula, made with light-reflecting pigments to create that healthy-skin glow, as well as moisturizing ingredients like glycerin. It packs a punch of hydration and, according to a fan, feels “virtually weightless,” a quality that’s made it a favorite among shoppers with mature skin. A 58-year-old said that the “natural-looking” foundation “works well with wrinkles,” while another said that it’s one of the few that doesn’t accentuate their fine lines. And according to a 76-year-old who’s been wearing the foundation for 10 years, it expertly “evens out” discoloration “without looking like [they] have any makeup on.”
As a fan of Chanel’s ultra-lightweight Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint, I’m now considering grabbing the brand’s editor-loved and Lopez-used Healthy Glow Foundation for days when I want a little more coverage. Shop more of the products used to create Lopez’s Grammys glow, below.
