So Pisatché, what initially drew you to the world of tattooing?
A: I’ve loved drawing since I was a kid, and growing up like that, I found out about tattoos. And I felt the charm of painting that I can keep forever in my body, and I gradually fell in love with it!
Can you describe the journey that led you to become a tattoo artist?
A: I think it’s similar to the question above! It’s such a fascinating thing, I thought it was so cool that someone kept my paintings for the rest of their lives, and it made me fall into this culture.
Who or what are the biggest influences on your artistic style?
A: Katsuhiro Otomo is my hero! I hope you think so, too.
How would you characterize your tattoo style to someone who hasn’t seen your work before?
A: I’m always thinking about this too! And with more and more people with different personalities, it’s getting hard to tell the style apart! So I just want to say it’s my own style of expressing myself!
Your recent series is inspired by mecha and features cyborg elements and chrome textures. What inspired this shift in theme?
A: It’s connected to my interests! I’m inspired by futuristic and imaginative animations like AKIRA and CYBER PUNK that I watched as a kid and recently!
Is there a particular tattoo you’ve created that stands out to you? If so, why?
A: It’s a recently made battle suit design! I drew this hoping that everyone’s pets stay by their family forever and protect them! Made this while missing my puppy who left a few years ago.
What do you find most challenging about your work as a tattoo artist?
A: There are times when I’m not sure about my paintings, I hope everyone likes it, but I know it’s not! It’s hard sometimes, but I can get through it!
How do you envision the future development of your tattooing style?
A: Recently, I feel like my paintings are hard. I want to draw more diverse colors and flexible shapes! That way, I think it will be a picture that goes well with my body!
What advice would you give to aspiring tattoo artists?
A: Close your eyes and ears and feel what you want for yourself!
How can potential clients reach out to you, and what can they expect in terms of waiting time for an appointment?
A: Instagram messaging is enough! I think my customers have similar tastes to me! Simple and artistic!!
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Pisatché and gained some insights into his unique mechanical worldview.
