She stars alongside Jon Hamm in Paramount+'s 'Landman.'
We’re truly in the midst of a Demi Moore renaissance. After cementing her spot as a Fashion Week regular and then slaying the carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival, where the actress returned to the big screen with The Substance, Moore is headed to the small screen again after wrapping up Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans with the latest show in Taylor Sheridan’s portfolio of must-watch TV—and she has a cropped haircut to go along with it. In new photos from Landman, fans can take in Moore’s new lob, which is a major shift from her usual long lengths.
According to an official description from Paramount+, the show is based on the "Boomtown" podcast and should be full of family drama, high-stakes oil deals, and Sheridan's usual mix of intrigue.
"Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast 'Boomtown,' the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics," a log line reads.
In addition to Moore and her hair transformation, the series also stars Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter, with a silver-fox Jon Hamm making an appearance as a guest star. Though details about the characters are still under wraps for anyone who hasn't listened to "Boomtown," the first look images show Moore and Hamm together in an opulent office and the Charlie's Angels alum with younger actresses and Thornton—with plenty of tension already evident.
Landman is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Sunday, November 17, with a new episode dropping each week. It joins Sheridan's beloved shows 1923, 1883, Lioness, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown on the streamer.
