As a beauty editor, the Grammys are consistently my favorite awards show to watch. Aside from the amazing performances, the Grammys delivers the most interesting beauty looks of the entire season. Case in Point: Chappell Roan’s Weimar cabaret makeup was otherworldly and Sabrina Carpenter’s faux bob was a masterpiece.
But in a sea of stunning hair and makeup looks, the manicures truly held their own this year. While some were perfectly minimal yet impactful, others were over-the-top in the most intentional ways. Doechii's manicure complemented her multiple Thom Browne outfits in the most unexpected way; Taylor Swift's red nails were the perfect addition to her monochromatic look; and Teddy Swims sported a 3D manicure that shows short nails can slay just as hard as long nails.

Chappell Roan
When Chappell hit the red carpet, she sported sheer robins-egg-blue fingerless gloves that exposed a matching manicure. It’s a spin on the French tip, featuring the same shade of blue as the base and a gold tip on an XL square nail. The look was created by Juan Alvear using OPI.
Cynthia Erivo
Cynthia Erivo sported a stunning mix-and-match manicure by Mycah Dior to match her navy and chrome custom Louis Vuitton gown. The XL coffin nails, created with OPI, featured a celestial assortment of gems, hand-painted moons and stars, and glitter. The stunning look took five hours to complete.
Doechii
Doechii's manicure is a perfect match for her trio of gray Thom Browne ensemble. The look features a textured gray and white base with a shiny white tip that houses blue-and-red stripes to coordinate with the stripe details on her look.
Teddy Swims
Teddy Swims is proof that you don’t need long nails for an impactful manicure. He wore red nails topped with 3D roses. Alvear also created this look using Aprés Nails.
Sabrina Carpenter
For a clean and soft look, Sabrina wore rounded sheer nails topped with white chrome powder and diamanté accents. The look was done by nail artist Zola Ganzorigt using OPI.
Glorilla
A sweet pink polish added a soft touch to Glorilla's sharp square nails.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift went monochromatic sporting Chiefs red all over. Nail artist Lisa Peña Wong gave Swist a crimson red manicure to match her custom Vivienne Westwood mini dress,
Cardi B
Cardi B’s sick stiletto nails were created by nail artist Coca Michelle using OPI. The look features a triangular take on a French manicure, featuring a sheer iridescent base and a rounded notch taken out of the side of each nail.
Victoria Monet
Victoria Money stunned in pistachio green from head to toe—and her matching manicure, also by Michelle using OPI, was the perfect finishing touch. It features a mix of 3D swirls and a chrome topper.
Chappell Roan (Again!)
Ahead of her jaw-dropping performance, Chappell switched up her nails to a medium-length, almond-shaped, green-chrome manicure topped with gems. Alvear created this look using Aprés Nails.
Olivia Rodrigo
A vampy deep red was a gorgeous choice to pair with Olivia Rodrigo’s slinky black Versace gown. Her manicure was done by Yoko Sakakura using Aprés.
Raye
Gems were the anchor of Raye's Grammy look. She wore a black Armani Privé gown with a bejeweled sweetheart neckline, tiny gems on her fluttery lashes, and a single silver gem on each finger. The nail gems sit right at the base of a black French tip.
Janelle Monáe
This pewter chrome manicure was the perfect embellishment for Janelle Monáe’s navy blue AREA suit. Done by nail artist Angie Aguirre, Monáe’s nails feature a large light-reflecting gem on each nail.
