Plus, the beloved shoe is a deviation from her usual punk-rock style.
High heels get a bad rap for being uncomfortable but Kourtney Kardashian is calling out a surprising shoe for causing a foot injury. Although the reality star often has a goth-punk aesthetic, she revealed the preppy shoe that has become a staple for her: ballet flats. And while, people typically step into the polarizing shoe for comfort, Kardashian shared that hers actually led to pain.
In Poosh’s holiday gift guide, the founder wrote about the contraption that her husband, Travis Barker, introduced to her to combat the discomfort that has come from constantly wearing flats. “I learned about these air compression boots this summer on tour from my husband,” she explained, referring to the Hyperice Normatec Elite boots. “I hurt my foot from walking so much in ballet flats and would look forward to putting these on for recovery.”
Kardashian explained the benefits of the product, adding that they "increase circulation and help with lymphatic drainage." "I can't wait to gift them to my friends and family," Kardashian finished.
Kardashian and Barker (he founded Barker Wellness Co) have both been longtime advocates in the wellness space. In addition to to creating the lifestyle e-commerce site and publication, Kardashian has a supplement brand called Lemme that creates products free of silicones, gluten, GMOs, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, and more.
When Kardashian first launched Lemme back in 2022, she opened up about her longtime dream to bring the idea to life. “I’ve been dreaming of this idea, having lots and lots and lots of meetings and conversations with different people trying to figure out the best way to build this, the right partners and building the team that felt really good,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “When it was finally all right, it was all happening with ease. Lots of hours, zooms, dreaming, but all with swift decisiveness and actual fun! At last, 5 years later my passion/work baby is finally launching into the world.”
