It’s the style that just won’t quit.

Here’s something you probably don’t know about me: My two favorite sartorial things are all-white and stripes. The former looks so crisp and luxe—not to mention is perfect for summer—while the latter oozes French-girl chicness that makes me feel like I’m walking around the streets of Paris with a fresh baguette in hand. Hey, a girl can dream!

So, imagine my heart eyes when I saw Meryl Streep in all that and more—the more being the ‘It’ shoe trend of summer 2024 that simply rounded the look together. The actress is currently attending the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where fashion is never, ever lacking—as she proves so clearly.

I’ve spotted a lot of Mary Janes on the street style scene, which are also showing no signs of fading away anytime soon, but I’ve also seen in-your-face metallics everywhere, even at Cannes, proving that summer 2024 is going to be silver shoe summer (sorry, hot girl summer, you’ve met your match).
