Dua Lipa is a major fangirl.

Living in New York City, I rely on sneakers. Whether I’m running to catch the subway or shopping up and down Fifth Avenue, I need something walkable that can keep up with my busy lifestyle. Still, my shoes need to be chic because I’m not in the business of ditching style for comfort — and Emily Ratajkowski seems to be in a similar position, as she just donned my go-to sneakers.

Yesterday, the model wore a contradictory outfit while walking her dog, including an oversized blazer, asymmetric T-shirt, and baggy, low-rise trousers. Though, it was her practical, black leather Puma Palermo sneakers  that caught my attention — and they’re surprisingly still in stock at Amazon, Zappos, and Free People.

The functional kicks are an old-school take on a slim silhouette. Look forward to a gummy sole for stability, stylish round toe, suede and leather uppers, and various colored details that make them better than your average sneakers.

This isn’t the first time Ratajkowski donned the style; she’s worn the shoes seven times and counting in 2024, always making them look effortlessly cool. Dua Lipa is just as big of a fangirl, partnering with the brand to launch her own collection of vintage iterations. You might as well add me to the list,  since I secured my first pair of Puma Palermos about a year ago and haven’t stop wearing them since. They’re ultra comfortable on my feet, offer a spacious toe box, and deliver arch support without being clunky.

The Pumas make outfits instantly trendy, too. Make like EmRata and wear them with floor-grazing slacks, or steal my style and opt for baggy jeans. Since spring is here, you might even consider pairing them with dad shorts and tube socks to give the kicks the spotlight they deserve, or make them preppy with a crossover skirt and vest.

I doubt the Puma Palermo sneakers will stay in stock for long — in fact, I bet they’re a fierce Adidas Sambas competitor. Shop the laid-back shoes in different colors below, including other Puma silhouettes.
